The flag # on Sabine Pass says 9/2,500 (see our photo under Winners of Piece #9), yet the box, and all paperwork associated with this piece, say the edition size is 1,200. AUG 25, 2009 Last 4 pieces of the 2009 Summer Releases expected to arrive at Harbour Lights on August 31st. We should have them in-store by mid-week (9/2 or 9/3). If you have not ordered your 2009-10 Society Exclusive (West Chop, MA) yet, the Harbour Lights warehouse is sold out, and will not be restocked until January 2010. All pre-ordered pieces will be shipped out over the next 48 hours. JUL 9, 2009 Harbour Lights has received its first container of NEW Summer Releases. We will be receiving our autoship any day now, so it's your LAST CHANCE to order 3 or more pieces to qualify for the "PIECE #9 RAFFLE!" JUN 23, 2009 Harbour Lights announces the offering of a very "limited edition" of Jordan Point Lighthouse, VA. This lighthouse will NOT be for sale through ANY Harbour Lights dealer, but will be shipped out by Harbour Lights as a FREE gift to all customers who purchase 6 or more of the 8 NEW 2009 Summer Releases. For Cape Annie's customers who have already purchased at least 6 pieces, you will receive Jordan Point shortly after we receive the second set of new releases at our store (hopefully mid-August). JUN 18, 2009 Things can always change with the shipments from China, but the first set of Summer Releases are scheduled to arrive in mid-July. They are HL376 - Haut Fond Prince, CAN; HL377 - Makapu'u, HI; HL379 - San Luis Obispo, CA and HL725 - 2009 XMAS, Burnt Island, ME. JUN 17, 2009 WE FOUND TWO MORE RAFFLE PRIZES, NOW A TOTAL OF 20! . . . We came across a couple of "Guardians of the Night," the Harbour Lights Ceramic Light-Ups, to add to our huge list of raffle prizes for our June 27th Event. JUN 3, 2009 NEW 2009 Summer Releases are announced! JUN 2, 2009 CAPE ANNIE'S WILL HAVE 18 RAFFLE PRIZES (TOTAL VALUE OVER $1300!) AT ITS JUNE 27TH EVENT! . . . This is more than DOUBLE the prizes at any other In-Store Event, including Lighthouse Depot and the other Bill Younger Events (WHY? . . . because Cape Annie's is kicking in 10 prizes from its own Harbour Lights inventory!) . . . AND, unlike most other events, you don't even need to be present to WIN! . . . . List of prizes will be announced in our June e-mail newsletter (June 5th). MAY 31, 2009 West Chop, this year's Society Exclusive Piece has been delayed, and will probably not be arriving until early-to-mid July. APRIL 23, 2009 2009-10 Collector's Society Pieces have been announced. If you are a member already, you will receive a renewal letter from Harbour Lights. They are HL561 - East Chop, MA (Freebie) and HL562 - West Chop, MA (Exclusive). APRIL 7th, 2009 In addition to a thumbnail, there will also be a SPECIAL, ADDITIONAL, SURPRISE gift with every Duxbury Pier purchase. . . . The Cape Annie's In-Store Event, on Saturday, June 27th, will have day-long hours, 10:00 AM till 5:00 PM. Because this is not a signing event, and you do not have to be present to win ANY of the raffle prizes, you can stop in early or late, buy a few "chances" at the raffle, and enjoy your "Day at the Cape!" We'll e-mail or call you to let you know if you've won. MARCH 27, 2009 HL804 - DUXBURY PIER, MA - "NUMBERED" and "SOLD OUT!" Unlike previous In-Store Event Pieces, the 2009 piece, Duxbury Pier, will be numbered. We don't think they're going to match the normal autoship numbers that we get for our "limited editions," but we're going to try to get the lowest numbers possible. . . . ALSO, since the entire shipment of 550 pieces is being allotted to the 10 No-Artist stores and the 5 Bill Younger Events, this piece is essentially "SOLD OUT!" If there are any "extras" we will be buying them up from Harbour Lights, since we have already had 2/3 of our allottment reserved/sold. MARCH 25, 2009 Cape Annie's Lighthouse announces that their 2009 Harbour Lights In-Store Event will be Saturday, June 27th. Although there will NOT be a Harbour Lights representative there to sign pieces, we will have plenty of the HL804 - Duxbury Pier, MA Event Piece (pre-signed by Bill Younger and including a thumbnail!) available for the day-long event. Raffle prizes will include at least 2 Artist Proofs, plus a host of other prizes supplied by Harbour Lights. Cape Annie's Lighthouse will be adding at least a dozen more HL prizes to the raffle! MARCH 22, 2009 Duxbury Pier (Bug) Lighthouse, MA is announced as the 2009 In-Store Event Piece. Only 5 Bill Younger Signing Events will be held in 2009, but Cape Annie's will be one having one of ONLY 10 In-Store No-Artist Events. This means that only 15 locations nationwide will have HL804 - Duxbury Pier, MA available for sale. FEBRUARY 25, 2009 The final five pieces of the 2009 Winter Releases have arrived at Cape Annie's. The winners of piece #9 have been posted on our "PIECE #9 WINNERS" page. FEBRUARY 24, 2009 As the final container of NEW 2009 Winter Releases arrives at dealers this week, we now know that Harry Hine is already working on the 2010 Releases! In 2008, we had the "Grand Tour." This year we have the "Collector's Choice." What will be the theme next year? Will they finally release the lighthouse you've been waiting for?! FEBRUARY 23, 2009 Latest container has arrived at the Harbour Lights warehouse, with the remaining 5 pieces of the 2009 Winter Releases. It had originally been scheduled in arrive two separate containers (early March and early April), but we got the heads up about 10 days ago (and we told to keep quiet - shhhh!) that eveything was arriving together, and EARLY!! They include HL368 - Harbor of Refuge, DE; HL370 - Carysfort Reef, FL; HL371 - Fort Carroll, MD; HL373 - Port Washington, WI and HL483 - Scituate, MA. They should be at our store later this week. Stay tuned for our latest #9 WINNERS! . . . . Is "Carrysfort Reef" another mistake? FEBRUARY 11, 2009 2009 Regional Event Piece is announced as Tybee (Knoll) Cut Front Range, GA and will retail for $75. In-Store Event Piece will be announced in the near future . . . We cannot give specifics yet, but with the June releases, there should be 21 total pieces for 2009. FEBRUARY 2, 2009 First container of new releases arrives at Harbour Lights. These include HL369 - Buffalo S Entrance, NY; HL372 - Pass a l'Outre, LA; HL374 Frank's Isand, LA and HL802 - Umpqua River Lens, OR. Expected to arrive at our store FEB 3 or FEB 4, 2009. Raffle for #9 of those pieces will be held that day! Winners will be notified immediately, so please check your e-mail! Pieces will then ship from our store approx. FEB 5th. JANUARY 18, 2009 Harbour Lights has suspended production of 54 GLOWS (Great Lighthouses of the World) out of the 82 lighthouses in the series! When the Harbour Lights warehouse runs out of these items, they may never be available again! Don't delay if you've been waiting to add any of these lighthouses to your collection! JANUARY 12, 2009 Tony Constantino of Harbour Lights informed us that there will be in 2009: (4) - Bill Younger In-Store Events (1) - Bill Younger Regional Event (10) - In-Store, No Artist, Events If you are confused about a "no artist event," Cape Annie's actually initiated the idea in 2008 with its "Harbour Lights Customer Appreciation Event." We had approached Tony about letting us give away a Gold Piece at a non-signing event. We not only gave away the Gold Piece (won by Sandy Jennings), but also had a host of other prizes such as Barking Rocks, Taney Set, 3 GLOWS and a single-digit EXCLUSIVE Chatham Little Light! Because this was NOT a sanctioned event by Harbour Lights, all prizes other than the Gold were donated by Cape Annie's. All In-Store Event Pieces (Loon Isand, NH) were pre-signed by Bill Younger. The Harbour Lights "No Artist" Events will, according to Tony, contain many of these same features. Cape Annie's Lighthouse will be having one of the 10 "No Artist" events (Date TBA SOON!), but could not get one of the Bill Younger Events. The In-Store Event Piece is HL804, and (sorry, this is the only hint) will retail for $68. Although they will NOT allow us to give away a GOLD piece again (none of the 10 "No Artist" Store Events will be giving away a GOLD piece), there will be other prizes supplied by Harbour Lights, AND Cape Annie's will again be donating several of its own prizes, including ANOTHER SINGLE-DIGIT Chatham "Little Light!" DECEMBER 31, 2008 2009 NEW Winter Releases announced by Cape Annie's Lighthouse. OCTOBER 2008 Harbour Lights announces that 2009 will be a "Collector's Choice" year. All new releases will be pieces that were requested by avid Harbour Lights collectors. OCTOBER 2008 Sandra Jennings of Kent, CT wins the GOLD Loon Island, NH at our Harbour Lights Customer Appreciation Event. SEPTEMBER 2008 The last half of the "Summer Releases" arrive at our store, completing the 2008 "Grand Tour." Only one state, Louisiana, did not gets its "proposed" piece, as it met with production problems. AUGUST 2008 The 2008 In-Store Event piece, Loon Island, NH arrives at Cape Annie's, ALL signed by Bill Younger, and including a thumbnail. JULY 2008 The 300-piece "limited edition" version of Chatham "Little Light" sells out in less than 10 months. JULY 2008 First half of the 2008 Summer Releases arrives and includes an "error" version of HL 366 - Bishop and Clerks, MA. JUNE 2008 Cape Annie's expands its standing order with Harbour Lights to 11 of every new "limited edition" (the highest of any HL dealer other than Lighthouse Depot). They are rewarded with piece #9 from Harbour Lights, to go along with the 10 two-digit pieces they receive of every new release. Cape Annie's then offers a raffle for this single-digit piece to any collector who orders 3 or more "limited editions" from a set of new releases. JUNE 2008 Harbour Lights announces the 2008 NEW Summer Releases. MAY 2008 The last half of the Winter Releases arrives. FEBRUARY 2008 The first half of the 2008 Winter Releases arrives. **** Beginning with the 2008 Winter Releases, EVERY NEW Harbour Lights piece, purchased from us, will contain a "certified dealer" card, created by Cape Annie's Lighthouse. These certificates will have the buyer's name, purchase date, piece number and our signature, verifying that you have purchased this at "issue" price, thus helping to maintain the value of this piece, and the entire Harbour Lights line. Harbour Lights pieces purchased from "discount" dealers, and especially EBay dealers, only damage the authenticity of this great line. |
